What "Dead" Means
We consider a company "dead" if it:
- Shuts down operations
- Gets acquired at a significant down-round (80%+ value loss)
- Becomes irrelevant (no users, no revenue, pivoted entirely)
- Gets absorbed into another company and brand disappears
